The African-American Cultural Center's Childrens  Dance and Drum Performing Troupe has been under the direction of Tiffany Mingo since February  of 1997.  The company has a total of thirty members including twenty five dancers and five drummers.  The company ranges from age 3-15 years of age.

The African-American Cultural Center is proud to have the oldest Childrens African Dance and Drum Performing Troupe in Western New York.

The Childrens Company has performed in numerous places in the City of Buffalo, making their debut in 1997 at the Kakilambe Dance and Drum Performing Troupe Concert at Rockwell Hall.  Since that time the company has performed at Kleinhans  Music Hall,  the naming ceremony of the Johnny B. Wiley Stadium, The Wade in the Water Sacred Music Concert at U.B., Center for the Arts, several schools in the Western New York and surrounding  areas, block club parties and various community organizations & events.

The purpose of the Childrens Company is to provide young children with the necessities to successfully achieve in self-esteem, discipline and communication skills.  By performing and studying African dance and drum, the children have the opportunity to contribute their spirit, and dedication to an organization that promotes cultural awareness and interpersonal skills.
